How to: Apply slide transitions during a slide show.
Solution:
In 'Slide Sorter' view, select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Slide Transition...', to set slide transitions. Then, run the slide show to view the transitions.
1) To set slide transitions, do the following:
a) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Slide Sorter'. (The slides appear in Slide Sorter view.)
b) Select the slide or slides for which to create the transition.
c) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Slide Transition...'. (The Slide Transition dialog box appears.)
d) Select the desired type of transition from the 'Effect' drop-down list box.

NOTE: When each transition effect is selected, an example is given in the box to the right of the 'Slide Transition' dialog box.
e) Select the radio button for the transition speed from the 'Speed' group.

f) Select the method of advancing radio button in the 'Advance' group.

NOTE: If the 'Automatically after' radio button is selected, type the number of seconds in the 'seconds' box.
g) (Special Case) If the computer supports sound:
1] Select the desired transition sound from the 'Sound' drop-down list box.

2] (Optional) Select the 'Loop until next sound' check box in the 'Sound' group.
h) Click 'OK'.
NOTE: The selected transition is previewed for the selected slide in 'Slide Sorter' view.
i) Repeat steps 1)b) through 1)h) for each transition to be set.
2) To apply slide transitions in a slide show, run the slide show:
a) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Slide Show...'. (The Slide Show dialog box appears.)
b) Select the slides to view in the show from the 'Slides' group.

c) Select a method of advancing from the 'Advance' group.

d) (Optional) Select the 'Loop Continuously Until 'Esc'' check box.
e) (Optional) Select the desired pen color from the 'Pen Color' drop-down list box.

f) Click 'Show'. (The slide show begins. The transitions set for each slide in step 1) will be used.)
